Do we hide ourselves to fit in? What is it to be truly seen?
You & Us is a powerful double-bill of live contemporary dance and film, accompanied by a striking photographic exhibition. The performance takes audiences on a journey into identity – an electrifying fusion of movement, film, and image that asks: who are we when we stop hiding?
What began with Cathy’s personal experience of invisible disability grew into a collaboration with hundreds of people, unravelling hidden stories of vulnerability and challenging the unwritten rules of belonging.
With a soul-stirring score by MOBO award-winner Lewis Wright,the award-winning short dance film, You Are Also Us, and an exhibition of photography by The1Harris, You & Us is a celebration of truth, visibility, and the quiet courage it takes to be authentic.
